I have a high voltage output 16.4 volts at full throttle. I have replaced the rectifier and still the same output. Is this normal cause my Garmin fish finder says danger high voltage and turns it self off. Is there a voltage regulator I need or can put in. I am using new deep cycle battery. Should I just wire the fish finder on the trolling motor battery?

motor # 3651773

rectifier ordered from iboats #18-5707 Sierra

Those charging systems are unregulated. However, I am surprized that you are seeing voltages that high. Move the FF to the trolling motor battery. The FF uses almost no current so it will not be an issue.
