I have a 1973 merc 150 which runs great with tilt and trim and the controls just wondering what would be the going rate for everything? pulled it off a boat with a bad transom.
Look up similar motors that have sold on eBay in the past. Other than that most people don't really want to mess with something that old, but good luck any way. I sold a 1973 (or somethinglike that) 50hp merc before and found it very dificult to sell even though it ran like a top.
Honestly monetarily, its not worth much. Use wise it maybe worth a lot if it runs good. You might get $500 for it. If its a good motor it would be worth more than that to me to keep it. Thats assuming you can work on it yourself because most wrenches won't touch them that old. I have a 1970 merc by the way
Like I said before, I wish your were closer, that motor would be just fine on the Beast. I would gladly give $500 right now if I thought shipping wouldn't be hideous.
