I learned on this forum that my 5 hp Wards SeaKing was made in 1973. It has the Clinton Engine.
I ordered a service manual on ebay for it which came on a CD (PDF FORMAT). It was advertised from 3.5 hp to 150 hp but it did not show a 5 hp motor on the CD. And most of those outboards were Gale and a few others that made Seaking.

Model: K500 2106A
Serial Number: 710328
Type No. 60 27405 R

Can anyone help me with spark plug # and gap?
Gas to oil mixture?
adjustment screw settings on carbuerator bowl and side of carbuerator?
Also, I would like to get parts for this outboard....Anyone know where?

It fired up tonite for about 45 seconds and the water impeller seemed to be working....

Plug---Intertec manual says a J13Y on the K500 model gapped at .025"
points gap is .020"

Mix---48/1 (seems awfully thin for an air-cooled engine---I'd be conservative at 32/1 or more. oil is cheap and easy to find compared to parts too:))

IF---it uses the Tillotson MT carb the initial settings are 1 turn out from lightly seated on the main and 3/4 T on the idle circuit

A functional waterpump is NECESSARY to keep the engine alive!

Parts are still available. IIRC from the original producer. Thought I had the site bookmarked but can't find it. I do recall that you have to call them and that it isn't a 24/7 operation. Try asking on the AOMCI site.
