This is going to be my 3rd attempt at a boat restoration project. The plus side is I got this boat for free, and it's in pretty much good condition. The hull needs to be repainted, and some interior work also needs to be done to this boat. When I got the boat it had no motor on it, but I recentally got a 85 horse Crysler outboard motor. The motor does run perfectly, but right now you can only pull start it to get it to run. The starter is completely shot, but I got a new starter lined up to purchase.

Right now I don't have any details as far as how I'm going to restore this boat, but once I get that all lined out I will let everyone know what I plan to do to this boat in the future. Also right now with no job this is going to be a rather long process. However, I'm looking at going back on the road as a truck driver so that will give me the money to restore this project and do it correctly.

Hopefully later today I will be able to get some pictures put up here so everyone can see what it looks like and the condition of the boat as well.

With the motor I also got another boat that the motor was on. That boat is a lost project right now, and I traded that boat, motor, and trailer for a $300 nitro r/c truck that I never play with anymore. I think it was a great trade.

Right now off the top of my head below is the start to the restore project, and will update the more I get into it.

FUTURE MODS/RESTORATION

- New seats
- New Floor covering (Thinking a non-slip paint)
- New switch panel
- New complete paint job
- Set motor up completely
- Fuel Tank

Re: 1973 Reinell Restore Project

Well I finally got some pictures taken of the boat. Right now I'm just working on getting the motor repainted. The motor is going to be black in color. It will probably be metallic black. I know the Crysler motors are white, but I'm not a huge fan of the white motor. This right now is as far as I've gotten with doing any work ont he boat. I'm not going to be doing to much of it right now till I get a job. Just mostly setting up the motor and everything.
