I bought a 1973 evinrude 65373R, this engine sat in a junk yard the better part of 10 years and got it home and it fired right up. it ran rough and realized that it needed a water pump. I replaced the water pump, spark plugs, rebuilt the carbs ETC. does anyone have the best way to sync the carbs, set the timing and basically do all the adjustments that will be needed to get this thing to idle ok. I have it close but the Clymer manual is terrible about the part descriptions and the pictures are terrible. there has to be a better way to do the throttle cam adjustment, pickup point and timing please help...
