There's no need to remove the lower bearing unless you're going to replace it, so I'm not sure why you would want to remove it if it wasn't bad. With the way the dist housing is constructed, I can't see any way the bearing could be safely pulled without damaging it. The outer race is seated against the housing with no way that I know to access it. You can't use the inner race to pull or push the bearing out, as that'll also damage it.

Probably a bit of heat applied to the housing would make it easier to come out, but that could damage the much more $$$ trigger.

The top and bottom bearings are relatively inexpensive anyway at your local auto parts store or bearing house, it's good insurance against $$$ trigger destruction to replace all the bearings in the dist when you're in there.

Be sure to replace the lower bearing snap ring while you're at it, there have been many triggers destroyed from rusted/brittle/broken snap rings.

Best way for removal is similar to knocking races out of a hub. Brace the distributor very will on something somewhat forgiving like a block of wood and work them out from opposit sides
Mecury Part Numbers for the bearings:

Upper: 30-20066
Lower: 30-26379

I have these if you need them, just send me a message. BTW- upper and lower is when positioned in the motor.
