Ok, im just polling here. For those of you that have this motor, What size prop do y'all have? Dont need to over think it, I just want to know what size prop y'all use. This motor has none so I might as well start with the most popular size.
Nandy, if you are trying to find the right prop for a motor and boat combination it helps to know what boat the motor will be used on. I have a program I designed to pik the right prop for a boat and motor combination, but I need to know what boat it will be used on.
Jet, what size is that prop? 14, 13 1/4?
I will be using that motor in the cobia in my signature. That boat should be around 800 pounds. It does 30 mph with 2 adults and 2 grown teens.
Thanks!
Generally speaking, for pleasure boating, I run a 13-1/4 x 17 3 blade aluminum on a 100hp Mariner. It falls into the same class as your motor. I am trying out a new 13-1/4 x 16 4 blade stainless in a couple of weeks.
I have an extra 13 1/4 x 17 so I will try that to begin with. Seems that is the prop that keeps showing up and I already have one... Once I get the motor changed to the other hull i wil let you all know how well it did.
