take your engine in its condition to someone famular on how all the linkage works . a service manual will help you but until you see it work right you will understand how to adjust it . or look how a working engine does its thing .the manual helped until i seen one part that was installed backwards, I was one of those who put it back together the way it was . only to find out that the person before me did it wrong .then it was oh i see whats wrong now .

What they all said. Great motor, but VERY intolerant to mistuning. Have a pro- see it and get the manual.

get it read it and ask what you don't understand or even the slightest confused. look at the engine from every angle you can while waiting for the manual.. it will make more sense when you see pictures. you say oh! i know where that is.

Yes the work of art .Mosly it begins with starting from scratch. I was sucessfull rebuiling my engine doing it in stages , The service manual was a good tool .It shows it like one of the most worn tools I used.and also the good advise here.. i was out running my rebuild hoping and praying it would make it across the lake ..It did that and more, its powering my boat . like a jewel ..
