I am trying to replace all the seals in my lower unit to stop the milkshake effect I am getting. I was surprised to find that my wheel puller and all that NAPA had to offer would not work to pull the "shaft bushing housing” you know, the casting behind the prop. Is there a part number for the tool needed or has anyone else come up with a craft way to pull this thing out? Sorry I don’t have the exact names of 'housing" I am trying to pull, my manual is at home.
Any info is appreciated.
Scott

A regular harmonic damper puller (from auto parts store) will pull the bearing carrier. There are two threaded holes in the bearing carrier - buy some all-thread that fits.

Not ALL will work. I have two, one for my international scout and one for my sons go kart. Both are to small and wont fit over the prop shaft. I am going to try and find some longer boltsand see if i can MAKE it work as long as i dont damage any parts. Thanks for the input and have a good monday.
