1974 Merc lower unit leaking oil

Hello everyone
I have a 74 1150, I use a test tank when I am working on it. I noticed there was lots of oil in my test tank. I drained the water and left the engine in the test tank for a couple of days and I notice there was oil in the bottom of the test tank. I raised the engine and remove it from the test and I notice oil leak between the back of the lower unit and the prop. Could some one tell be why it is leak there and what I need to do to fix it? I,m not sure, I think the rear seal or "O" ring need to be replaced. This is the time to get out on the water and catch some crappie.

Pull the prop to see if its rear propshaft seals or leaking down from driveshaft. The early years was bad about pitting and seals cutting groove in drive shaft.
