I got my boat running the other day. It was hooked up to an earmuff and idling in neutral and I heard a clicking noise in the lower unit. As the RPM increase so does the clicking, but when I placed it in forward or reverse the clicking stopped. Is this normal?

Nope,... Sounds like the shift cable is outa adjustment, 'n the dogs are dragging against each other...

No, itr's not normal. Sounds like the shift cable is a little out of adjustment and allowing the shift dogs to just barely touch causing the clicking.
