I have seen a lot of leaking carb posts, I am figuring a stuck float. The gas drips out the front where the mesh cover is. In pic one the last owner has put a wire to hold the bottom of the mesh cover in place. screw is missing. I then noticed gas coming out a tube on the underside of the carb. Pic two shows the nozzle like tube with a spring at the top and a slit up it. The manual says main fuel nozzle and cap. I have no cap. This is the same nozzle that the couplings between carbs hook into. Seems to reason since it is the bottom carb it would have a cap on it. It was a little bit of time after I shut off the motor that gas stopped dripping out.
Any other advise would be appreciated

Thats not a nozzle, its the way the carbs connect to each other to make sure the butterflys open up the same. Nothing should come out of it. You could take that carb off and clean it and inspect the float to see if its cracked/falling apart. If it is replace it other wise just give it a good cleaning and make sure the float doesn't stick when going up and down on the shaft. Also, your seat on the needle my be worn out if the float is fine. All these parts can be bought on iboats.

The wire is fine to hold the cover in place, if you don't liek it take the middle carbs' screw and nut to the hardware store and buy a replacement.

Thank you
I agree that it is the same port/tube that they connect one, two and three together. The book shows a cap, but it would have to be a inch long cap to get up to the threads. Gas just drains out of in even after the motor is off. I am going to take the carb off and clean it. While it's off I'll try to find a cap.
Thank you again

Ther was never a cap on that carb throttle rod. It is a slip fit to the carb body. Gas is only leaking because the bowl is overflowing. Once you fix the float/needle/seat problem, it will no longer leak.
