1975 25hp evinrude little spark

trying to bring this old motor back to life, it has very little spark, almost none at the plugs. where should i look first? thanks guys

I would pull the flywheel and have a look around. Coils could be at the end if their life. Clean the points and see where that takes you. If you decide to move forward don’t for get the do a water pump service and check or change the gear case oil.

Coils should not be under the flywheel on that motor. I would clean the points.

true ignition coils no but other failure prone parts could be checked out

condensers, breaker point charge coil etc...

probably just dirty breaker points
