Hello all. I replaced my Rectifier took it to the river and opened her up "throttle wise" while on the trailer and the miss in the motor seems like its gone.

My question is, can just by simply replacing the Rectifier cure engine misses?

Sure can if your motor has a battery powered ignition system. Low voltage from a discharging battery can make the motor miss and buck. A working regulator keeps the battery charged and supplies the needed voltage for the ignition.

I hope that had solved my issue. I will post an update when I get it off the trailer.

I do not think your rectifier caused your miss. If the battery was low enough (due to a shorted rectifier) to starve the ignition for voltage, it would never start, as the starter likely uses 50 times the wattage as the ignition.

On an ADI ignition, a shorted rectifier could bleed away some wattage necessary to power the switchboxes..
