I am beyond Pissed but oh well. Thank you to all of those who helped me transition my boat motor from a Chrysler to a big Merc. This forum is a lifesaver to the many challenges boats have to offer. After getting my motor running great finally, the transom started to crack, and the rest is history. Good thing I did not loose the motor or sink the boat.

Now you get to learn about Transom replacement/Repair. When you drilled the holes to mount the engine, was the wood dry or wet, and when you tightened the bolts or nuts, was there a lot of compressing of the glass before the bolts/nuts were tight?
You are lucky the motor didn't decide to fall off on a bump on the road
