1975 checkmate v mate II

Call me crazy but im working on a project, turning my 75 checkmate into a duck boat. The boat is stripped down to the floor and i was wondering how i should mount seats in it. The middle of the floor is flat but the sides are at an angle. Also the boat has a metal strip all the way around with a lip on the bottom and top, it looks kinda like it could be used to mount a a canopy or maybe say a duck blind?? Anyone know anything about that?

For the deal i got on the boat and motor, im saving a lot of money with this project. Honestly, if i had it my way id restore this boat to what it was and have a duck boat but im broke so this is what ive got!

Understood, been there, LOL. But I'm guessing by the time you get the top off, structure the boat to make up for the lack of a top you'll be just as far in? I know not of what I speak of.
Repurposing a boat works to and in this case you will have the fastest duck boat on the lake.

Ayuh,..... Duck boats are basically Flat-bottom boats for stability,....

Shootin' outa a V-hull, you'll be lucky to hit a duck, much less limit out,....

Good thing it aint about the limits its a pretty good sturdy floating boat
