1975 Evinrude 50 hp fouling plugs

I'm just wondering why my engine keeps fouling plugs l. I was running w.o a tstat while plugs were fouling it would run for 2-3 hours then foul lake temp around 70 could this be the cause?

You definitely should not be running without a T-stat. Making your plugs last longer is just one of the benefits it provides your motor. The first thing is what spark plugs are you using?

Get the tstat back in it and then check the idle temperature with a temp gun. Should be around 143*.

Put it back in bottom plug was not firing has spark coils are good took carbs off bottom carb bowl full of black gew cleaned everything runs like new thanks for the help

Should you post again in the future, try sticking in a "period" now and then. That would go a long way toward understanding these run-on sentences.
