I'm having problems with my motor idling. I always have to keep the throttle lever about half up to keep her going. We tried idling it up a bit, but then gears clanked when trying to put it in reverse. So we put it back where it was. Any ideas? The idle speed adjustment screw is all the way in. Is it possible to adjust the idle mix screws to get some results. Sometimes it will idle for about 45 seconds at a great low speed then slowly sputter to a halt. Thanks guys!

if the carbs have no been clean soaked, rebuilt in a while that may help, a link and sinc may help, here are carb adjustment use 1st section. http://www.iboats.com/boats/ you should be idling a 600-700 in the water, in gear. if it won't due it check compression and spark.
