I just got done getting this motor running pretty well. I just recently got done putting in the spring in the throttle cam that someone apparently forgot to put back in there the last time it was taken apart(wow!). This fixed the main problem I was having because the timer base wasn't advancing with the throttle arm. So, after it was fixed it was idling too high because the timer base wouldn't go all the way back. This prevented me from going in reverse because of the high rpms. I made some adjustments to the linkage so that the base would be pulled all the way back and now it dies while idling. Is there another adjustment I need to do? I might add that the IDLE ADJUSTMENT SCREW is all the way in (meaning it is set high). Could it be a MIXTURE SCREW adjustment? Thanks all!
