I desperately need to know how to figure out the ignition switch model for a 1975 Higgscraft w/a 1975 85hp Evinrude outboard. I inherited it, and cannot find the ignition key. So, I don't know the model no. for the switch. Neither the boat and engine titles have model nos. but I am driving back to get the engine model/serial no.
Is there a way I can bypass the switch? The control box is solid metal, the switch will not pull out, and I have loosened all visible screws, etc., but can't get to it from top, side, or bottom. Could there be an auto/truck ignition replica, or is the switch wired to other terminals behind the metal box?
