I just bought a 1978 Procraft with a '75 Johnson 115 HP....Now I just lost my electrical. The power trim still works but the motor won't turn over. Is there no fuses on this boat? There's only two in-line fuses I found and those are for the live well and bailer. I changed the ignition switch, checked the wires and nothing. Maybe a shotgun hole in the hull would fix it?

Do you have a kill switch.
There is a mercury switch that kills the motor in the tilt position.
Will it crank?
If not there is a fuse usually located inside the engine cover. It is also an inline fuse.
If it cranks is there any spark?

Before you use that shotgun give me your boat...
Maybe you should try and get some jumper cables and hook your battery straight up to the starter.
If it turns you know that that is not the problem.
Next would be your starter solenoid and so on until you find out who makes you want to use your shotgun.

Nah, there's no kill switch, I also thought there would be a safety neutral switch but the only one I found was the one in the throtle section. I tilted the motor all the way down and still nothing

Rolmop has a good idea. If its not turning over at all. Hold off on the shot gun thing you may need that in the near future!

I forgot to mention, I left the key on for a day or two, nothing was running but the gauges, I charged the battery, the trim works but even the manual choke won't work....It all seems to me like a fuse problem but I can't find any!!! Maybe I don't belong on the water...hehe....Could I have damaged something by leaving the key on for so long...I don't think so?!?!
