Trying to rebuild the gearbox on the above motor, and it appears that the lower end has never been apart. The prop shaft bearing housing, which is pressed in, won't budge. I've tried several flywheel pullers, even made one. I've banged it with a punch trying to break the seal, no luck. I even applied some heat to the case in hopes of getting it loose, to no avail. Any suggestions? Could I grind a crack in the outer housing to provide some relief to remove it, and then re-weld it back together before pressing it back in? HELP!
