1975 Johnson 25 no kill switch

I have a 1975 Johnson 25 (25R75B) and noticed at the front there is a plug for electric start. However online I noticed a lot of people have their kill switch there. On my motor there is no stop on the tiller arm. Am i missing a part that plugs in here?

Plug is for a cable that runs up to the front of the boat for remote start/choke/stop. Also incorporates the battery cables.
