Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction on this one.

I'm working on a 1975 Johnson 50 model: 50ES75B that needs lower unit seals but the bearing carrier is being a pain. I have the 3 bolts removed from the inside but noticed my regular puller won't work due to the carrier not having any holes to thread into. Apparently from a youtube video I found there are plates you can use (From OMC I believe) that are "T" style tops so they fit the standard OMC puller and hook onto the 3 webs of the carrier. I've tried a couple non-invasive "Hack" pulling attempts but they've all been a bust. Does anyone have any thoughts on this mater?

This is the youtube video with what I believe are the correct OMC tools needed to get this particular smaller sized carrier out. Around the 30 second mark the gentleman shows the puller tools.

Here's another alternative I found but have not purchased, wasn't sure it'd do the trick.

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated! I'd rather have the correct tool if I can get the part number for it, I still believe it to be the 3 plates in the youtube video.

Your best choice would be the OMC tool with the three plates. JMO.

Do you have a part number for those plates? I'd order them in a heartbeat since I have one of these motors myself, a wicked nice short shaft 50 that's nose coned and absolutely flies! I prefer the correct tools to customizing others, I've learned my lesson enough times as a kid butchering something up.
