I bought this motor and it would not idle. But ran get in high rpms. So I bought a service manual 2 carbon kits and rebuilt the cabs. Got it all put back together and now when I took off it did not open up @1 first. Then it took off and ran great. It went a little ways and bogged down again. I tried pumping the bubble and it did not help. The motor has 120 lbs. Of compression and new plugs. What do I should try now.

Sounds like it is running out of fuel. Usually, if you prime fuel hose bulb, that will force extra fuel into the carbs. That will usually temporarily overcome a fuel problem. Check for spark when you are having running issues. Attache an inductive timing light to each spark plug wire. The flashes from the gun will show the quality of spark to each plug. If your spark is good, then you are probably back to a fuel issue.

If you determine that it is a fuel problem it sounds like your floats are set too high and not letting the needle drop down to let fuel in. If you have spark and it does the same thing take out the drain plug if you can get to them and see if fuel comes out.

Thanks. I think it was the floats. I took the garbs back apart and adjusted the floats a little. It seemed to act alot better in the driveway with muffs. Also even though I had just cleaned the garbs a piece of trash must have gotten in line before I put them back on. It was stuck in needle. With any luck I will get off of work early enlightenment on day this week and try it out. Thanks again.
