1975 Johnson outboard control wiring

I am new to this, I have inherited a 1974 bad boat with a 135 Johnson outboard. The wiring was a complete mess, I have rewired the entire boat. I just can't find any information on four wires hanging out of the bottom of the control. There is a red a gray and two black wires. Any ideas

My first suggestion is to purchase the manufacturer's Year, HP, Model specific shop manual for the engine. It has schematic diagrams for everything the engine requires and the harness to the helm as well. As far as the wires hanging down from that controller, I have zero ideas what some of them are for. Could be they are for kill switch options or so many other things. I'd have to open up the controller to see what the wires connected to, to determine their usage...
