Ok I am starting a new project. I bought a Tom boy boat a few months back and saw someone else on here remodeled one. The reason I’m doing this is die to the, foam, and all the wood that was the decking was all rotten! I’ma huge fisherman and want to do something different for my style of fishing. I throw lures only so that what I need out to be built around. Right at this point I have removed all the decking, foam, and stringers.

OKAY, another Tom Boy Boat project. I knew if I watched long enough, another Tom Boy Boat owner would show up! :whoo:

Just those initial pictures brings back lots of memories. I am rebuilding a 1976 Tom Boat with 1976 Johnson 40HP engine and I have no idea what the trailer once was. But I remodeled EVERYTHING from top to bottom from what I started with.

If you care to have a look see, click on the links in my signature links below and you can see every aspect of what I did. I made it a much easier to use, fancier stick steering model. The original owner, or at least the owner I bought it from, had no idea about boats and totally trashed it before selling it off... Everything had to be reworked and rebuilt. And I do mean everything!

Mind if I tag along with your boat project?
