Olsoncsb, Those motors have a grating above the anti-ventilation plate, behind the prop. This is the important exit for the water. The "pee" hole can clog easily. If the grating has water exiting, the motor is pumping. At idle the water should be warm, but not hot. Careful not to get your fingers in the prop!

When did you last change the impeller ? It may have become "Set" with curved vanes from the long sit and is in need of replacement. How long did you run it on the muffs ? They normally take a few minutes for the water passages to fill up before "peeing".<br />It's a good practice to run your motor on muffs 3 or 4 times a year to keep the impeller flexible and wash out any residue in the the water pump housing.

I have this same engine. When water doesn't come out of the pee hole, I just put my mouth over it and blow up into the hole, then afterwards the water starts to come out. Like Chris1956 says, water should also be coming out of the grating on the lower part of the engine and should be warm. The water coming out of the pee hole will be a little cooler. Good luck!
