Wanting to attempt to put a 1976 1500 on my boat that has an 1977 850 85hp with trim and tilt, just making a swap. The 1500 does not have the trim and tilt but I am 80% confident I can use components from the 85 and swap to the 150..<br />My biggest question would be about the plug in wires, they both have the same part number but different placement where the prongs are. The wiring harness on the 1500 is about shot so I would just like to know if I can use the 85 wire harness and plug into the 1500 any help is welcome thanks.
