which dizzy system is it?
points or breakerless?
was the " ignition pack " 2nd hand or new?
if so, wired up properly?
have you had it running at all?
l recently bought a non running 70hp with breakerless ignition, ( we're either dumb or like a challenge )
had burnt wiring from the starter solenoid, replaced both,
fired up straight away,
Started every time on the stand and then on the boat, in the shed,
Went fishing ran well for half an hour and conked out on way back,
back in the shed had no spark,
tested everything we could
bit the bullet and bought a Street Fire ignition module, got spark back and fired up straight away again,
morale of this long winded story?
old components can fail anytime, specially if being used under load after awhile sitting idle,
look at ignition components,
