1976 AMF crestliner musky 550 No Spark

I have been lurking for a while while enjoying my 1968 starcraft jupiter but another boat fell into my possesion.It has a 1976 Johnson 55 twin on it.No spark. Can someone point me to the post showing how to test coils and stator with multimeter if the post exists for this motor?Otherwise does anyone have the manual that has the no spark troubleshooting section? Not a pro here, but there's a good troubleshooting guide on cdielectronics website..
It has a link to the troubleshooting guide if the following doesn't work..

I think yours would be on page 30 of the guide. (I think viewer shows pg 32-33)

Ok ...Great news! We have spark! It was wired wrong on the power pack! Just happened to look at the colors while trouble shooting and they had it all messed up.Gave it a shot and wired it according to the cover and boom! we got spark.Put fresh gas in and it started up! It will not idle and seems to be starving for fuel.Guess i will rebuild the pump and clean the carb.Thanks for the help!
