Hi all new to this forum.

I have a 1976 70 hp Evinrude, only used in fresh water ever.

After being layed up for 4 years i pulled it out from it's slumber and put a new trailer under it.

I replaced the t-stat and impeller, today.

I started it right up amazing i love this motor.

Problem is a small crack dripping water starboard side right behind the carbs about 2 inch's back half way up.

1st-Question is this, obviously a water jacket, how would i know if water is going into the cylinders?

2nd-Question will jb weld work on this problem.

Thank you in advance.

That doesn't sound right. Two inches back from the carburetors would be the crankcase. There is no water jacket in that area. Got a picture?

Stikin camera wife took it to work.

Is there a exploded view on the net where i could get a breakdown.

33 years i never bought a manual, never had to.

Motor was always perfect.

I went to Crowley marine web site, and a few others no exploded view of the block?

It's right behind the plate that holds the electronics.

Thank you all in advance.

I'm like heartbroken, i can't describe the feeling.
