Hi,

Fired up great, ran smooth for about 10 mins. Then all of a sudden it just "jolted" kind of, then died. Had trouble re-starting engine. Fired back up on the 4th try and ran great once again for another 15 mins. Turned off the engine, then fired right back up. Ran smooth, no probs after that. Weird...

What would cause this? Do you think it could be water in the gas? ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE HELP!!!!

THANKS!!!

brianmerc
Has it ever done this before?, How long have you owned this rig? Is it the Distributor model, if so it could have a suspect trigger. They would stop one minute and run the next.

Kiwi

Thanks guys!!

Um, no it's never done it before. Distributer model? I think so. I have owned this boat/engine since October. It was my uncles before and he says it never had this problem. It ran great on the water for the few times I took it out after I bought it. Suspect trigger??? If so, how would I know? How much to replace?? Let me know thanks!!

Everyone else with some suggestions?

brianmerc

I believe that I have read that the trigger either works, or it doesn't. While some electronic ignitions "act up" before they finally go out, this one usually doesn't.

I'm sure that if this is not the case, someone here will let us know.

Good Luck,

Gold Bear ;)
