Hey guys, tryin to get my cell phone to act right cant seem to retreive pics of boat. But have another firing issue, I've got new Dist. cap, New external wiring harness, New switch box. Ol motor was running good, last weekend made a turn to the port side and felt as if it flooded and died. While trying to restart seemed like it wanted to but was just flooded, well a week of sitting and now no fire at plug wires, I had asked before about the tilt switch causing my fire issue, but after installing the new Dist. cap we had fire. Tried yesturday with starter fluid and nothing. Could my new swith box have gone bad that fast ? Cleaned the dist. cap yesturday and was quite dirty, figured it came through the Flame arrestor, but just guessing. Just installed the New bimmi top yesturday on broke down boat, at whits end on this electrical suff, and cant locate any local guys willing to look at motor for me so its all up to me , my dad and the support of you guys. Oh got seafoam in tank now also to run through motor if I can ever solve firing issue. Thanks in advance for any help or guidance on where to look next.

OK, disconnect the mercury switch. it will be blue plastic, on port side of motor, above the switchbox. Now check for +12VDC on red and adjacent white wire on switchbox. Key must be on for white wire to have voltage. No voltage means no spark. If that checks out, get on CDIElectronics web site and run troubleshooting procedure for Battery-powered CDI Ignition system.
