I backed the traier in a little too far and boat began to float before I started motor so I just shoved out and climb aboard. Usually I power off the trailer in reverse like everybody else I know. Normally no big deal, but it was this time. Motor would not turn over, so I used a screwdriver to jump across the solonoid and it started right up and took off in forward. Apparently it was stuck in forward from loading last time. I cruised out past the no-wake, hammered the engine and cruised around for 5 minutes, turned around to pick up passengers, put it in neutral while waiting to dock, and boat never went into gear again. Got towed in & had great fun. Any idea why 1) unit was stuck in forward originally, 2) why unit wouldn't go into forward or reverse after a five minute cruise, and 3) why motor wouldn't turn over even when drive was stuck in nuetral, except when jumping across solonoid with screwdriver, then it started right up but still wouldn't shift. Help!!!
