We are new to this forum and are now the owners of a 1976 starcraft super sport open bow aluminum boat. It has the thunderbolt ignition 85 mercury outboard. It has had a slow leak for about 10 years which my elderly father was unable to locate. He installed a bilge pump but we will be looking for the leak. Some of the threads here have been very helpful while we have been getting her water worthy. We have the motor running well and are just beginning to rewire the lights. Would anyone know where we can find parts like lens covers and the bow deck railings?

That's a beautiful girl you have there. Are the floors solid? The leak will be easy to find if the floor needs to come out for replacement.

My bow light was in pretty rough shape so I replaced it. I still have the lens from it so PM me if you would like it. I have no idea about the bow rails, but have seen the supports at some local boat retail stores. I bet iboats sells it.

Welcome! and please post some more pics

Welcome to the club, brookie. If no one has said it, that is a good looking SS. Can't help with the lenses but you should be able to find rail hardware. Have fun with her.

good score on your SS, these boats are a lot of fun to play with and offer lots of room too. Welcome to the Starmada gang. The handrails can be picked up at marine supply shops or at upholstery shops that make boat tops.keep the pics coming!!

Re: 1976 starcraft

bow lights and such tend to be all made by same mfgrs....usually Perko, Ongaro, or Attwood....no matter the brand of boat. you should be able to find matching ones on fleebay from a comparable-vintage boat someone is parting. have you checked the "Starcraft parts" thread on here, where the mob posts their excess and not-needed obscure period parts, of types that iBoats doesn't sell?

ditto for bow rails,,,,you should be able to find a set from any boat that will fit onto the SS. the bow on many semi-V hulls tends to have a simiilar enough curve radius that they'll work fine. the ones from my donor glasser (19' Galaxie ski boat) fit the bow curve of my 18' holiday perfectly

and welcome to the Tin Taliban. have you cut yourself on the boat yet to bond with it?
