1977 140hp Temp question?

( New owner of this boat and motor) I installed a new water pump kit, and when running the engine in a barrel for about 30 minutes at fast idle the engine temp was about 100 deg. (shot with temp gun), is this about normal?

Yes, if it is degrees Fahrenheit. Darn hot if Celsius.....
