ABOUT ONCE A WEEK I CRANK MY MOTOR WHEN I AM NOT FISHING. IT CAME A BIG FLOOD AND THE PLUGS WERE LEFT IN THE BOAT AND THE BOAT FILLED UP WITH WATER. WHEN I CLEANED EVERYTHING OUT I HAD TO RE-CHARGE THE BATTERY WHEN NOW I GET NO FIRE FROM THE COILS TO THE PLUGS. THE MOTER TURNS OVER FINE & I AM GETTING GAS.WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED TO MAKE IT NOT CRANK.THE MOTOR IT SELF WAS DRY.

Howdy, MDT.

You may have water in your fuel system.

Get a manual and troubleshoot your ignition system.

Let us know what you find.

By the way, please do not use all caps. On the net it is considered shouting.

Good luck. :)

Was the control box and or ignition switch under water ? If so the problem maybe in there.

If you have no spark at the plugs, I'd go back and start checking the primery voltage source.

c/6

Hooty

thanks for the response guys. yes the gear box was under water as was the key.could there be a short in the box that would cause the motor not to fire. the engine turns over fine but no spark.
