I have replaced prop and hub assembly and prop spins just fine. Motor starts up dry and in water and prop spins. Once we drop in dock everything runs but boat won't move. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Iboats,

Props spins, is that at idle? what about at load, that's at gear and with more throttle ? Is hub well pressed against prop's interior as not to slip ?

Shifts into gear when not running but if running it wont go into gear. The hub is well pressed against interior.

Does the prop seem engaged in gear on the trailer. with the key off turn the prop by hand.In gear it should turn about 1/4 turn in either direction.
in the water with the motor running in neutral the prop may actually spin just from the friction of the assembled parts. But it isn't engaged.

Thanks for the feedback, found the issue!!! Shifter cable linkage is bad, throttle side working. Appreciate all the feedback.

If the shift isn't engaged all the way the prop may still turn from the friction of the parts. It won't push the boat.

Nice to read you solved the tech issue, you should have started your post saying it was a remote control 70 HP engine, no wonder why it would't shift correctly.

Happy Boating
