1977 evinrude 35 hp will start and run til just when you accellerate

Hi I got this lund 315 deluxe with a same year 35 hp evinrude, when im just putting along and punch it it sputters and dies, I just had the carb off tonite and cleaned inspected it found nothing out of round it has blue spark, compression over 100 lbs pretty even any ideas? Thanks. Joe

Bad fuel pump? What happens if you pump the fuel line bulb while trying to accelerate?

Your explanation indicates that you missed manually cleaning the high speed jet that's located horizontally in the bottom center if the float chamber... way in back of the drain screw plug. Clean it with a piece of single strand steel wire as solvent just doesn't do that job properly.

Thanks just did that this am! It had some green on it but clean now checked with mag glass.
