1977 Evinrude 4 HP

Trying to figure out why i have no spark, and i looked at one of the wire connectors, 3 wires come from the power pack side, but just 2 going to the coils. Just wondering if this is correct. Funny that 1977 seems to be the only year the 4 hp's had CDI ignition...

Nah, the 4 had CDI at least through 1980. I lose track after that.

1 should go to ground

doesn't look like there is any ground in the parts diagram at least. What order in ignition components should i troubleshoot?

ignition coils (these are cracked) but getting no pop from power pack
power pack
charge coil
sensor coil

everything but ignition coils look brand new
