1977 Grady white wiring my dash and ignition

I have a 1977 grady white gulfstream 205 with a 470 merc i am re wiring the boat and have come to the ignition there is a 10 gauge red a 10 gauge orange and a 16 gauge purple wire. When I got the boat it was disconnected so I am not sure were they go on the switch , the switch has 3 legs B-I and S , any help

"B" on the switch = battery (+12 volts) from engine harness. "I" = ignition (power back to the engine ignition system). "S" = power back to the starter solenoid to spin the engine for starting.

thank you silvertip, I was reading that the red wire goes to the battery side as you stated what leg would go to the fuse panel to lite up the dash and give power to all the switches that control lights , bilge, blower ? there is an orange wire and a purple

Go to the Grady white website and download the owners manual for your boat.
Manuals include a wiring diagram
