i got a 1977 Johnson given to me. i was told it needed new jets for the altitude. 5300 feet. it was almost impossible to start and wold take 2 minutes to get up to speed no power at all. i did a compression test and it had 75 psi all 4 cylinders. i put new standard rings in, full gasket set rebuilt carbs. but now i have 90 PSI all 4 cylinders. starts easy but is flooding badly. it idles OK but as soon as you give it throttle it bogs down and dies. when i remove the plugs they are dripping with fuel. i use ethanol free fuel and its new and my mix is correct. there is no adjustments on the carbs. reed valves are good. good spark, new plugs. cold it be my compression? do i need to get the cylinders bored out to say .02?
