Hello all, new to owning a boat and of course my first is an old electric shift OMC sterndrive. Anyway, I got the boat from an acquaintance who said his son had it out last and it just stopped working. I have replaced the shifter as I wasn't getting a consistent 12V when in gear. Now with the engine off, but key on and in gear the propeller will spin a quarter turn one way and freely the opposite, and vice versa when I shift to Reverse. My problem is when I run the engine and engage in gear the propeller doesn't spin at all. Any pointing in the right direction would be appreciated. I was hoping for a spun prop, but I believe that if it's spun I should be able to turn it by hand in gear.
