1977Evinrude 115 hp Carburetor specs

Hi I have a 1977 Evinrude. 115 hp v4. I have been working on the carburetors. And researching for the float specifications. I’m trying to figure out how far the float is supposed to drop down. I’m measuring in inches I can’t find anything on it and I do not have the manual.

I normally turn carburetor upside down.-----If float is level than all is OK.------What is your motor doing / not doing.------Did you find any dirt / gum / residue in your carburetors ?

Gas is coming out of the front of the carburetor well it is running I have checked everything replaced everything and it is still doing it I was told that the float needs to drop down a certain amount well holding right side up

I have never worried about float drop !!-----I would say the float valve is not closing.-----Easy fix.

With the carb upside down, adjust so the outside end of the float is slightly higher (end opposite from the arm).
