1978 35 hp evinrude

Hello everybody I purchased a project boat and i am faced with the dilema of trying to put everything back together I have reinstalled the starter and rectifier and i am not quite sure if I connected everything back correctly also while installing the fuel line back on the fuel pump I couldnt find where the line is connected to the carb.I know this isnt too dificult but trust me even my instructor couldnt find it and then suggested that it could be underneath the carb where it is very tight.If anybody on here is familiar with this type of motor i would apreciate any help that you can give me.I have the seloc manual and there is a picture of a few different types of carbs.anyways if anybody can direct me to a pic of this motor or any type of diagram it would be much apreciated. the model number is #35853R serial #E002952 sincerly Heartshot

Looking at the front of the carb, look for a tube coming out of the right side of the carb bowl. As for the wiring your seloc manual should have a diagram for it.

Could be that the fitting is missing, here is a pic of a 79 35 hp carb.

your right the fitting is gone its inside the fuel line! do you have a pic of the rectifier starter area on the other side ?

Not off hand, I searched for that pic. I figured as much on the carb, had this happen to my 10 hp the other day, came off inside the fuel line, take it out and tap it back into the carb.

Post a pic of what you wired, someone will probably firm up your wiring.
