1978 70hp johnson changed old hoses won't start

i bought an old eibbtide boat w/70 hp johnson that has been setting up for over 10 yrs. after some transom work i took the boat out it ran great the 1st an 2nd time on my 3rd try it ran like a 3hp after changeing all the dryrooted hoses it started once cut right off now it won't start anymore. any help will be very much appreciated. douglas

Douglas , after you changes the hoses (I assume you were talking about fuel), did you clean the carbs?. Some pieces of hose may have gotten inside or the fuel filter is clogged.

thanks jim, but would it make a differents if its a 3 cyl. its not even trying to start. douglas
