Which wires at the power pack do I check? When I check ohms on the brown, brown/orange wires I get a reading of 648 ohms. Boat runs great in cool weather when it gets hot up in the day it doesn't want to plane iut it gets to about 2600 rpms and bogs. I have new power pack and coils. Carps are all rebuilt. Boat only acts up in hot weather. Could my stator be going bad?

Brown and Brown/Yellow are the wires that charge the power pack. I don't know what is wrong with your motor, but I doubt it is the stator. Are you using the correct spark plugs?

Run with a timing light on a hot day.----See if spark fades away.------Or have an assistant ready to operate the manual fuel pump when motor falters.

Boat has a after market fuel pump. I also put a new manual pump to see if the electronic pump was the problem still does the same with either pump. Someone was telling me about gap on the fly wheel to like gage he asked if that could be bent. I see a gage it does look to be bent.

Some organized / well thought out trouble shooting will find the problem.---Guessing does not work.----Good luck with your motor.-----I have never seen a ----" gadge " ----on a motor.-----And no idea what one looks like either !!

Speaking of guessing, if I were to guess, I would think it could be ingesting water into a cylinder. Let's hope I'm wrong.

How would I tell if outboard was ingesting water into cylinder? Plugs don't have water on them.
