I have a chance to pick up a very good used Short Block from a 1981 85 Hp Chrysler that I want to swap on to my 1976 75 Hp Chrysler, I have checked and I think it will work, BUT, Does anyone out there know for sure if this is do-able??

Yes, the block has same bore and stroke and will fit on the leg but they have diferent ign.system. The 75Hp has Motorola beltdriven distirbutor and the 85Hp Prestolite system with triggercoils under the flywheel.
The different in horsepower are bigger jet size in the carbs for the 85Hp and another portsize then the 75Hp.
