1978 Donzi GT21 question

I've got a 78' Donzi GT21 that I'm trying to sell. An interested individual asked if the paint was original gel coat or paint. I have no idea what kind of paint Donzi used on that year model, or even if they had gel coat back then. Any information would be appreciated. The boat's white and blue stripe, with white checkers in the blue.

More then likely it is gel coat........

Honestly, if you have not owned it since it was NEW you really can not answer that question.

Ayuh,... There's been gelcoat, ever since there's been fiberglass...

If it's original, it's no doubt gelcoat...
